Giant Defy 5

Anyone got any ideas how much I would expect to get for my Giant Defy 5 2012? A friend at work said he's interested but I have no idea of second hand value.

How old is it?
Condition?
Extras?

If it's a year/18 month old and in good condition .... I would say 50-60% of it's new price

It's in nice condition. No extras apart from gatorskin tyres. I was going to ask around £200? As the bike was around £550 new it doesn't sound like I'm taking the pee.

I would ask £250 - £280 considering it has gatorskins on it and leaves you some negotiation room. If you say £200, he may knock you down further

Sounds like a plan. I just didn't want to rip him off. I know the Defy 5 gets a bad press but I still think its a great bike

depends on yr friendship as well...might be a bit embarrassing to haggle, why not go st £200. I once sold my car to a friend - was more important that it did not let her down and fall apart than getting top dollar. She still has it and I sleep very well.
