Giant Escape 2 Disc or Raleigh Strada 4?

Hi guys which of the two mentioned would you choose? I’ll be using it for city and country roads as well as canal paths, which in Birmingham can be anything from a nicely smoothed tarmac to long Unkept grass and gravel 😂
Other suggestions are welcome but I’m all spent on searching now. Budget is £600 max but would prefer 400-500
