Can't spell, Can't Punctuate....Sue Me
Looks like my company is going into the cycle to work scheme and i'm really toying with the idea of the Giant Rapid 3

Reason being i don't really like the idea of the drop bars for commuting to work as i am mainly on custom made cycle tracks with hardly any road use in the entire 15 mile ride to work. So i get the comfort and speed of the road bike but in a flat bar.

is this a good option?

I think that's a decent choice jowwy, in fact i like the rapid myself, but may have to go for a hybrid such as the escape as my commute is slightly rougher.

I got a Rapid 4 in September last year, love the bike. For me it felt faster yet more comfortable than the Sirrus and Trek FX I was also looking at.

Go test ride both  What's wrong with the felt in your sig?
nothing wrong with the felt......i just fancy some type of flat bar roadie rather than the hybrid type mtb.

and have always prefered flats to drops and the triple chainset will help on the hills to ease the pressure on the knees
