Does anyone know what the differences are between the 2008 and 2009 versions? Just cosmetic or is this year's model better ventilated/lighter/ more aero or whatever.
You can still buy the 2008 version - and it's a good deal cheaper than the 2009 one, so I want to decide whether it's worth the extra for this year's before parting with the cash.
Cheers

Cosmetic I think. The big change was 2007 to 2008. The 2008 model took a big step forward and became CPSC certified

It's the American rating system, which is better than EN1078, but not as good as Snell.

Basically, the 2007 Advantage was just EN1078 certified, so we could use it in this country but it was banned in the States. EN1078 stipulates a lower force/ g acceleration than CPSC which in turn is less than Snell.

Thank you, Will.
I had gathered that there were some that only met safety standards this side of the Atlantic.
Sounds like a 2008 version would do me fine.
