I currently have Altura progel gloves for colder days. Nice and warm but not too bulky.
Had Sealskinz before this and they were great in very cold weather but a bit sweaty if temp was not freezing.
Could try silk "liner" gloves, no experience of these but read good reviews.
like these?

didn't the Mrs buy a new pair of shoes and pedals for you once?
Cheers Ed
thinking about it she bought the road shoes that you now have & the ones that replaced them  She's not a bad egg really, although her face was a picture about 30 mins ago when I told her my new bike was being delivered tomorrow

not sure if you have got any gloves yet, but saw these and thought of you:

DHB 10 years promotion finishes at the end of the week - I bought some gloves, knee warmers & thermal bib tights, socks all for £40!

well I bought these for running last winter and they were £7.99 , now they're on sale for £1.99 which is a bargain to be had, they're really comfortable gloves and wind resistant enough stop my hands getting really cold when cycling/running, I like that the branding is reflective also

they probably wont be great in the freezing cold going into the minuses but anything above and they should be ok

the only very minor gripe I have is the seams at the end of the fingers can be a little irritating but you soon forget about it
