Gone missing

Anyone know where Marshmallow_Fluff has gone? I was starting to think of a good summer forum ride and mentally ticking off who might come. I looked back at the list of past riders and there are actually quite a few who seem to have disappeared, Angel-Diva, cycleruk, JaneyB to name a few. Anyone know?

Try sending them a personal message or pinging them using the @username they should get an email notification for the PM....

It's not unknown for users to go AWOL for a while and then return.

I've been known to go missing for around an hour or so.

On another forum I use (not cycling), there's a 'Coming and Going' board.
People can let others know if they are taking a break for a bit or won't be around for whatever reason.
Maybe an idea?

I guess my worry is that they have had an accident or worse, of course it may be I have put them off cycling if they have been out on one of my rides.

I had noticed that some of those members were MIA. I suppose it is understandable that things happen, priorities change and so on. Still, it would be nice to keep track of regulars who decide to take a break or leave. I think a dedicated thread sounds like a very good idea.

It might seem a bit sad, but one of the things that crossed my mind while I was waiting for the ambulance to take me into hospital in 2012 was that if I died (1/3 of emergency DVT/PE victims do!), nobody on CC would have any idea what had happened to me. I think I texted potsy and bromptonfb to put them in the picture, and potsy started that DVT/PE thread to let people know what was going on.

People have different reasons for leaving. If they haven't left a post to say why then I doubt they would put a post in a 'See Ya' thread either.
