I was reading in Phoenix Squadron today about an event that took place in Central America in 1969. I think it was called the 100 hour war between El Salvador and Honduras. What started off as some football violence in a world cup qualifier ended up as a dog fight between WW2 vintage P51 Mustangs and F4U Corsairs. That sounds like a film with everything.

Edit: or maybe not. Having read about it, it sounds rather sad.

No, this could work! Never apologise, never explain.

"The Hundred Hour War"

Anyone but Bay at the helm, or Tony Scott.

a film about a bloke who goes out cycling but never returns........his bike was found hanging on the wall of a trendy pub (wheel rims made into lamp shades).....

A film to follow on from Star Trek II - The Wrath of Khan. It could be about them looking high and low to find out what has happened to Spock.

I see the title as...

Star Trek III - Does Anyone Remember Where The Last Place Was We Saw The Guy With The Pointy Ears?

Simba

Specialized Allez 24 Rider
I would like to see more films based on Greek or Egyptian mythology.

An animated film for The Rider would be excellent!

I don't know about animated. I can imagine some sort of arthouse film with black & white newsreel inserts from old Tour de France races. However, so much of that book goes on inside the rider's head; I don't know how you'd portray it.

I reckon there should be a British made film called 'Mallard, The Record Breaking Story'. It could be a really good dramatisation of the whole steam rail speed record story with lots of Art Deco background stories about the people, the rail companies and the train crew showing the differing class structures and events of the time.

It would have to be British made otherwise Mallard would have an American driver and the record would be down to a 6'10" hunky baseball playing fireman shovelling 200 tons of coal a minute and the train would be outrunning a meteor strike.

The powers of CGI now make it possible to do justice to John Windhams "The Kraken Wakes"
Trouble is that by the time the studios have finished with it, it will star Nicholas Cage and have
had a dozen rewrites. :¬(

How about Mallard the art house 12 hour record movie, filmed in 3D and supermarionation at the local duck pond?

Would love to see "Rendezvous with Rama" made into a film.
I think a start was made, but they ran out of money. Morgan Freeman had a starring role.
