A pal of mine, a lady who walks with sticks, had parked her car in the disabled bay at Asda. Getting back into her car, she placed her handbag on the car roof while opening the door.

A young Ned tried to snatch her handbag, but had missed two important points:

1. That Asda is directly opposite the biggest police station in glasgow, and about half of the Glasgow Constabulary were in there buying lunch

2. My friend may be disabled and walk with sticks but she’s certainly not “frail”

Bad guy snatched bag, my friend whacks him on the shin with walking stick, 6 cops come out of shop to discover druggie on the deck, and my friend standing over him saying “stay there” and giving another gentle tap each time he tried to get up. I think he was quite relieved when they arrested him!

A local car thief, when he'd crashed the car he'd "borrowed", escaped on foot.

Only problem was he left one leg(false) behind when he got out of the car. His name was on the leg he left.
