Never been to this branch before - living between Leeds and Wakefield I invariably go to the Wakefield branch (less busy than Leeds) when I need to.
Having had my beloved bike stolen last Monday I'd decided I wanted a Boardman CX as replacement and that was the nearest branch that had one. Still waiting for the vouchers the insurance company had orderd from Halfords to arrive but as it was the weekend I thought I'd go and "try it for size".
Explained the situation to the nice man in Halfords. He's let me order all the bits I want and reserve the bike for an extended period (and also given me an extra discount
). Plus they'll fit the rack and mudguards for me (yes, I know they're not big jobs but it saves me doing it!). Hopefully the vouchers will turn up this morning and I can go and collect it tonight.
Just thought I'd praise Halfords for a job well done for a change!
