Good value 2nd hand bikes (Cardiff)... or new?

A friend is looking for a bike in Cardiff area. Are there any reputable second hand dealers nearby?

Failing that, what is the best value new bike at the moment? I know Decathlon has been mentioned in the past. Likely to be a run-around bike rather than a serious racer/roadbike, and will need to fit a Weeride seat for a toddler.

The Facebook group : Cycling Sale Swop Sell offers a lot of decent bikes and gear from cyclists who look after their frames etc.

Believe it's the above, but will confirm, you need to be accepted into the group but the admins are quick to do it!

The facebook group is Cycling Buy, Swop & Sell. The spelling is important and Kevin who is the admin may take a while to add you as he does it as a hobby. Another one that may be of use is Buy and Sell Cyling Stuff in the South West.

I can't like them as my work PC doesn't allow me to see facebook.
