From the article: Made by HTC, running android and probably available from phone companies.
Apart from the branding can't see its offering anything different to my G1.

Google are planning a portal type system (can't really say what it's going to offer) but they want to make it global and free. thus pretty much destroying any of the competition that companies currently pay to display there items/products etc..

Do they have an app on the iphone or android for finding the TV remote yet ? .. or finding where the car keys and wallet are. I know for others.. and indeed soon with all the integration of these devices the mobile will become essentially a network PC (remember that idea circa 1998 from Sun/Oracle/IBM ?) but at the moment the WAN infrastructure ain't there (roll on selling the TV wavelengths)

It might have happened already in a parallel universe but they spent years bitterly arguing about UWB and the rest as they say is history.

I don't think I have seen a more succinct way of describing Google's business model.

If we make products similiar to their's for free, over the 'tinternet, we will be the only people making money  LoL

I currently have the magic, this can only be better for consumers as both apple and google competing will allow for price drops and freedom of selecting network providers makes owning a decent handset on a good networks alot easier. Bring it on!
