Went to Decathlon, got clipless pedals (Look Brand) A pair of road shoes. 2 pair padded lycra shorts and a pair of padded mtb shorts oh and a bottle. Grand total 110 quid. Quite happy that lot.
Made a mistake though. I bought mtb shoes first time thinking road cleats would fit them. Doh.... Luckily I was excited about my new buy and played with them while the mrs was in Asda and found out before I got home. So swapped them road ones cost an extra tenner
