Got one! A Pompino

Having dithered for a few months, looking at loads of old steel frames to build up and almost buying a Ridgeback Solo (took one for a test drive but it was too small and they didn't have my size), I finally took the plunge yesterday and ordered a new Pompino, in green. They are £399 in the sale, so couldn't resist it!

Now I only have to wait impatiently for it to arrive...

I loved riding my MTB fixed wheel along easy singletrack (Scared the life out of me on anything technical).

Maybe, but there's no way of knowing without trying them, so I've just taken the plunge. If Evans had had a Solo in my size anywhere near Central or West London I would have been riding it for the last 2 weeks!

I'm the same, just ordered a Pompino and waiting for it. My previous fixie (created from an old Dawes) died when the head tube developed a crack. Shame, as I loved that bike.

Mine came today. All in order and it looks great!

Tweaked a few things, flipped the stem. Need to replace the saddle as I don't like the one it came with but not a big deal.

Took it out for a ride round the block and had two 'fixed moments' where I tried to freewheel and ended up in the air! Skinned my ankle and looked a bit daft, but I am sure that, if I persevere, I'll get the hang of it! Apart from that, it was pleasant to ride.

One for the lady and one for me. The lady's is going to get an 8 speed IGH and be a tourer. Mine's staying a single speed.
