Got scalped (x2) whilst cruising

I've now been overtaken by the same guy twice in 2 weeks. This is very unusual and is due to some odd circumstances.

1. Wasn't feeling too good a couple of weeks back and was taking it very easy. He came past (only just I may add). Being childish, and dispite not feeling good I sped up to follow, planning to leave him for dead after all the traffic lights - not much point blasting past then stopping at lights!? Following at a safe distance, he jumps the red light to escape. Tut tut. Revenge will come my way.

2. Was this morning. I was cruising after a week off the bike and took the mountain bike for a change, giving him at least 5mph advantage. He came past again, I thought about chasing but decided that it was too much hard work on the mountain bike! He turned off pretty quick anyway.

Next time, he gets it. Snigger.

Ha ha! A good righteous scalping is always good fun!

I led our Sunday club ride on a chase yesterday down on the Romney Marshes. Nice and flat so I caught sight of two cyclists quite some distance ahead - the one in front on a TT bike - game on! Took me a while to wind the pace up and hunt them down but the catch was good - gave a cheery "Morning" as I passed and got a rather shame-faced reply

Under the weather today and a week off the bike meant today wasn't easy for me. Still had to show my dominance to some people though.

I meant to ask - surely jumping red lights is an automatic defeat in commuter racing - isn't it?

I've been scalping some sort....but she must have jumped about four sets of lights so I kept catching her.

Still I reckon I should have anyway as she was struggling so I suppose I felt a bit sorry for her as I know what it's like.
