I take my hat off to you city/towny commuters the odds are stacked against you with so much traffic and various obstacles such as pinch points, traffic lights, roundabouts, bus lanes, one ways. Ive got to say its not for me. I was forced to divert today because part of my normal route is closed going south. My detour took me along a busy road with no less than two primary schools One car turning right drove straight into my path (I was doing 18mph at the time how come they assume a cyclist will slow down for them?) Another tried to take me out in the cycling lane and white van man decided to rev passed me and block my path approaching a roundabout that alone was enough to convince me traffic and cycles do not mix people are in too much of a hurry at rush hour. Fortunately I am blessed with an alternative route so do not have to endure this kind of behaviour day in day out, If I did, I would give up commuting by bike.

I've reported it to TFL and sent it to the cops, I doubt much will happen but I might try testing TFL on their own polices of fining drivers which they don't even know about.

The strange thing is the bike rode fine for a few miles, then all of a sudden the mudguard came lose. It's been bent out of shape a little but apart from that all fine.
