Riding a bike to work has knocked 2 stone off my body and seen my blood pressure drop from 139 over 95 to 116 over 69.

Not being boxed within a steel cage has led me to interact with the people I meet on the way. The farmer who owns a large chunk of the land which I cycle past, is now on first name terms with me.

I see things which I could never see from the confines of a car.

I get up in the morning on my days off and I want to go exploring.

I took this at 6.30am today. Excuse the low quality bike and concentrate on the scenery.

On a related note, it's been announced that the government are at last now consulting about banning pavement parking in England and Wales. I'm not sure what there is to consult upon - London has been a giant test bed for this for many years and has produced little in the way of issues.
