A bike path that I ride on once or twice per week

That looks like a pretty good cycle path (i.e clean and smooth) but does it run on for miles, uninterrupted, or are there multiple obstacles along the way that impede progress, that would not be encountered if simply riding in that apparently wide and not particularly busy highway just next door?

It's part of a bike loop between the two towns of Soldotna and Kenai. In southcentral Alaska. Nice path. Part of path is like that, and part is over a few short steep hills. Total length is about 20 miles or so

Speaking of fishing...no fish pics, but 3 pics of harbor and out shrimping:

Also, every July 4th, there is a race, for runners, up and down the mountain in the second pic. Quite a race, and it draws runners (male and female) from all over.

Mount Ripinsky? If so, I climbed it when I was there. Tried a different descent and soon realised I was bush whacking and getting scratched to bits before I found the trail,again to get down. Will have some old photos on slides packed away.

I was in Haines 2 summers ago. Did some boating around Admiralty Is with my two brothers, then loaded the boat and headed home. I liked Haines.
