I had to take my 6 year old nephew(GRHS) to see this countless times during its first run.
P.S. John or James Capen Adams was a relative of John Adams and John Quincy Adams, but not a grandson, as claimed in the first clip. He is a shirt-tail relation, but was a cobbler, who lost a whole shipment of shoes for 1849 gold rush miners in a wharf fire at St. Louis, Missouri. Attempting to repair his fortunes, he went west, and settled on training animals for menageries. He won and lost ranches, trained animals, and fortunes. He died from the injuries of many less than successful animal encounters throughout his life in 1860, just five days after making it home to his wife and family, at age 48.
