and was feeling good about completing a nice 13 miles on a fine morning.

It was a bit disheartening to read elsewhere here how many of you had problems and aggrevation on your trip.

So I feel a little guilty about posting a couple of pics of views on my route in. They are from my phone so the quality is not good and dont do them justice but hey you know, the sun was out and I just feel so damn good!

Hope you all stay safe and forgive me my indulgence!

Good to hear that sadjack, I know you're talking about my thread , but that was yesterday...

This morning I had a great commute in, the lane had been narrowed at one point so I took the primary as I didn't think it was safe to give people chance to overtake, the two cars behind me waited patiently then gave me plenty of room. I must stress my argy-bargy yesterday was a one-off!

Pics look great by the way.

Hey eldudino! You were not the only one getting some aggro!

I read of the exploits of some of you gladiators out there and feel a little smug and guilty that I have all this wonderful countryside to ride in and where in the most part vehicles give me plenty of room (being 16 stone and dressed in dayglow might help me stand out  )

In fact some are so considerate they go so wide around me (maybe they think I am some sort of mobile roundabout) that they move over into the opposite lane whilst we are descending a hill and approaching a blind bend!!! I wish they would not do that cause I know one day there is gonna be a car coming the other way and there is gonna be tears

Good ride in here, usually do. Bit nippy though. Outpaced a motorbike through traffic - loser..... little later approaching long traffic queue, car coming up behind at speed, two glances over my shoulder, driver backs off, leaves me room, and I pull over and down the outside of half a mile queue..nice ! Then gave a motorbike a bit of room as he was crap at filtering and pulled out on me...anticipated it and went wide, then nipped past him as he got stuck again....loser ;)

Nipped past another queue to the ASL...losers..... joined another queue, followed it, next set of lights stayed in primary, accellerated away on green, still primary and turned right into work....cars didn't catch me ...losers.....

Traffic...what's that...big bunch of losers......win win win on a bike !

I do this a lot. My motorcycle instructor (many moons ago) used to tell me that making eye-contact was one of the most important things you can do. It certainly works and it also gives the driver an idea of what you're going to do. It's to do with mans inbuilt recognition system to see the eyes of other creatures, a throw back from the days when we were the hunted!

Nice to see all those smiles fossyant

Is'nt that why we ride? That feel good factor. To think some people buy drugs :becool:

I have never ridden a motorbike. Dont they call that look back over the right shoulder the "life saver" though?

Applies to bikes just as much!

beautiful morning here today

the long straight ride into the city down Mile End Road with the Gherkin and city towers against a blue sky was a really nice thing to ride towards, I felt very London

Like hearing all the "up" stories. This forum is a good place to share our experiences good and bad. Keep it up peeps! :becool:

Heavy mist turning the grass almost white, and a low layer of white mist hanging just a couple of feet above the playing fields. All highlighted by the glorious low morning sun.

And now with bags of confidence on my new bike, and getting up to pace again.

Yes, this morning was beautiful.
