It's a German brand - they've only really started getting known over here for the past year. Bosch motor assist - really does climb like a mountain goat. Motor's never used on road anymore, but for powering up a muddy ascent, it's the doggies.

I've never been particularly sold on the whole e-bike concept, but that looks a nice machine. Is it not a bit heavy with all the extra gubbins required?

Not as bad as you'd think - just over 19 kilos, battery off to lose another 2 and a half. Benefit being, you can cycle to your absolute arse tearing, leg mulching misery limit then flick the motor on to get home whilst passing the spandex on the tight hills.
