Possibly the worlds greastest lyricist, Hal David has died, aged 91.

Whith composer Burt Bacharach, Hal wrote the lyrics to god knows how many hits including Magic Moments, Do You Know The Way To San Jose, Walk On By, Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head, The Look of Love, Alfie, What's New Pussycat, 24 Hours From Tulsa, (They Long to Be) Close To You, I'll Never Fal In Love Again, (There's) Always Something There To Remind Me and many many more.

Ever since I heard Do You Know The Way To San Jose by Dionne Warwick I've always thought Hal David and Burt Bacharach were the greatest songwriter and composer, certainly of their generation but possibly of all time.

Fabulous catalogue of songs while paired up with Bacharach. Their songs were never quite to my taste but that never stopped me appreciating their excellence.
