Halfords and Insurance replacement.

A bike got stolen from our house last week. The insurance company very quick to sort it out. It was purchased from halfords and the insurer works with the Halfords Insurance Replacement service. This will all be sorted next 24 hours I'm told.

Does anyone know if they only do like-for-like or they will do an alternative replacement if we pay the extra???

I found out that they send a voucher for the value of the replacement bike less any excess. So the voucher can be redeemed against another bike etc.
