Hanjin bankrupcy

The business I work for has product aboard a Hanjin container ship which is stuck due to the collapse of the company. There must be thousands of other companies who are affected, even if they don't realise it yet, because of the way their supply chains are structured.
How many bikes and spares are currently floating around the South China Sea instead of making their way to the shops.

Flippant we might be, but I am genuinely sorry, George. This takes me back to my work days importing and selling timber. It can be so frustrating when you have already fully paid for the goods.

It's an unusual situation and the port are holding all the cards (ie. my container). I could enter into negotiations but i would probably just be adding more storage fees as time goes by.
