Well we went to Ray's Place on Princes Avenue - food is good, atmosphere is great (they don't pester you to leave and it's a really relaxed place), but be aware - if you want alchohol with your meal you have to take your own. It's not a problem though as there's a Sainsbury 50 yards down the road. ;)

Did anyone do the tradition of falling 'asleep' in their curry?

well done on attaining the first 40! heres to the next 40:biggrin:

Thanks for the good cheer everyone.

I've had a good few nights out; lads night (around Leeds) - family night 1 - family night 2 (big families on both sides) - another lads night (around Hull) - and then a friends night. Not bad for an old codger eh!!!

Most of them were boozy nights, and I feel like I now need a whole month off from beer and food!! (... but guess what's just around the corner!!! ;)) <- I've waited months to use that smiley

The party is all over now, so roll on the even bigger five oh!!!

Cheers,
Shaun

Happy slightly belated birthday Shaun. As you enter you forties, in a month and a few days I shall be leaving mine never to return:cry:. Best ten years of my life though so far, the best bits being meeting the love of my life and taking up cycling.

Ah, what brand was the love of your life? Trek? Dawes?

A very belated hope you had a good 'un Shaun. Sounds like you did.

Oh, bugger, yes - sorry Helen  - "and a great day out with the Yorkshire CC Posse who brought along a CC logo'd birthday cake, some great weather, and even better company ..."

Cheers,
Shaun
