Thank you all for your very kind birthday wishes.

For anyone who doesn't know, what have you been doing? I've been banging on about it for the last eight months.

Today I am 50. I have a wonderful wife, a nice house, great family, good health, a stable job, and I am celibrating the day snorkelling and diving on pristine reefs near the equator. I am very aware what a very lucky bloke I am.
