Wouldn't it have been a bit chilly, for Adam'n'Eve and all that, outdoors in October?

Bit of a problem for the owners of that web site - Cabot only discovered America last week so their houses haven't been built yet - going to be cold in a tent tonight.

(Columbus only discovered the West indies, and that was at bedtime the evening before so no good them moving there either)

Saw it on the telly. Historic occasion - "one small step........." - stuff. You should have set your video recorder

No-one told me to record it for history!!

Time given for the "birth".
"In 1650 Milton's contemporary Bishop James Ussher published Annales Veteris Testamenti, translated into English as The Annals of the World Deduced from the Origin of Time (1658). In this work he dated the start of Creation to the evening before 23 October 4004 BC. At noon on 23 October, Ussher argued, 'the light was created; which God severing from the darknesse, called the one day, and the other night'."
