My best mates (significant) birthday party Saturday night. Big collection of oldie bike riders all gassing on about their exploits in the 60s and 70s.
The Lad 'imself had bitten the bullet, gone and bought a nice Carbon Specialised, Shitmano equipped unfortunately, but it looked the part. Some wag raided the garage and brough it into the room. The women were not impressed, except the one or three lady riders who went "Ooooo" and "Arrrr" in a most enticing way.
Some wag had bought a bag of little pressies for the host - they included a little pink bulb horn which was stuck on the carbon 'bars. Tinsel streamers for the end of the 'bars. The nice black undersaddle bag was whipped off and replaced with a little pink Barbie type bag. Flourescent trouser cycle clips swinging from the top tube and reflectors on the wheels completed the outfit.
I'm not sure whether birthday boy was impressed, but we pissed ourselves.
