Mother's Day: the perfect opportunity for women to show just how good they are in this role, while us chaps put our feet up. That's the idea, isn't it?

My mums been dead, for 33 years, that's 10 years longer than I knew her, I barley remember her now. I have spent some minutes today trying to remember stuff about her and it's difficult to recall the good times and bad times.

If you have still got your mum, and you like her, cherish the time you have.

+1 to your last line CarlP.
I was 16 when my mother passed away, over 34 years ago now. I can remember her and the good times (very few bad times) we shared as if it was yesterday. Which is quite amazing considering I haven't got a clue what I did yesterday!

Our lads spoilt their mum rotten, I provided a taxi service to take her into town for lunch with the eldest and my stepdaughter, and then brought her and the lad back. Later on we had a full house, stepson visiting and the youngest coming round bringing his Mrs and our granddaughter, an excellent Mothers Day, unfortunately my Mum died over 20 years ago so all I could do was remember.
