Found something I need at a seemingly very good price, but the site looks a bit shifty... has anyone had any experience of this seller?

Ta!

No address details in the UK, etc. I'd suggest they're dodgy.

Thanks - hardly fills one with confidence since the site implies the business is uk-based.

Pay on Accy's credit card for the consumer protection.
I am tempted to bang it on the credit card and make it their problem if it goes wrong....

I did a bit more digging and it really doesn't sit right.

The site was only created about five months ago and there's nothing on Trustpilot.

There's a very similar looking site offering similar stuff to the US (biketraction.com) with apparently the same registration details / location.

More concerningly advertised content seems to consist exclusively of a somewhat random assortment of branded items at silly-low prices; which I can understand to a point if it's a business that specialises in selling on liquidated stock for example.

However, the bikes seem ridiculously cheap (a £5k Specilised ebike for £300) while the KMC chains (which are always a good seller with a reasonable price floor IME) are also suspiciously cheap.. suggesting they're either knock-offs or more likely simply don't exist as the whole site is a scam.

There does seem to be a fair amount of this going on these days. Looking for Ortlieb panniers and a couple of sites, with dubious locations, popped up.

No experience of it, but it stinks more than Drago’s old Y-fronts.

In addition to prior observations made, I’ll add that their social media links at the top of the home page are non-functional, and their ‘about us’ is generic guff, like every other part of the site.

I’d stay well away.

I’ve just looked at that too. There’s not a bike on there selling for more than $300, even where the original price is as high as $4,000.

Aye, right! 😅
