I don't need to read the stories sometimes, they can be too dull and serious. But I like the headlines when they throw up little gems like this one..

Today, BBC News, Devon 'HMS Tireless ends hunt for MH370'

Hmmm..not very Tireless then...

Go on, post it when you see it, you don't have to link the story, just post the headline that makes you smile.

Take your pick from any of the Sunday Sport headlines in the late eighties, I was a student at the time and studied it well.

It's not quite what I was meaning though chap, although your posts do betray your well studied Sunday Sports headlines along with the well thumbed Little and Large Joke Annual (I think they could only publish that joke once a year) I was thinking maybe there are some ermmm..current things that catch your eye.

I like the unintentional oxymorons as above and I'm sure people see their local news websites and stuff that we don't all see sometimes.

A day or two back, insomnia led to me looking at the BBC news page in the small hours.

The headline story was "Police make Syria appeal to UK women". It was changed within minutes to "Police make Syria plea to UK muslim women" but by then I was already wondering what the police were doing to UK women to make Syria appear a preferable place to be.
