Headset, startnut, road bars + stem, old useable brake pads, cables etc

I'm currently doing up a road bike to get a bit of beer money for university, so I thought I'd ask here before I pay higher prices on ebay/wiggle etc.

I'm on the hunt for:

• Headset - preferably integrated 1 1/8th - I have the top half of a headset knocking around so just the bottom half would also be useful. I'm also after a starnut, top cap and bolt.
• Headset Spacers - black alloy or carbon are great
• Gear and brake cables, inners + outers - used is fine if in great condition.
• Road bars, standard or oversized, anything from 40-44cm
• Stem - oversized (I have a standard)

Head down to your local Asda, Bell brand cable set (2x gear, 2x brakes, and all the ferules you could ever need) for £4. Probably as cheap as you'll get cables unless you find some for free.

Thanks for the heads up! I also seem to remember wilkinson doing cheap cables to come to think of it. I guess I'm sorted on cables then!

I've just sniped some standard diameter bars on ebay, cheers for the offer though. Sounds like you are in for an amazing year abroad!
