As I understand it, hedgehogs like cat food (not bread and milk)

My cat is a bit peeved that I scooped out the contents of her bowl to feed tonight's visitor..

I don't speak cat, but I'd guess she's saying something like 'WTF are you thinking here'.
Well done on feeding the hogs, they're a rapidly vanishing creature.

I think they also like dog food.

And these.

Imagine eating that!xx( xx( xx(

A few years ago. I used to go fishing at this reservoir that used to give birth to these huge ass slugs such as the one pictured that were as long as your little finger when they were all stretched out spreading their gunk all over the ground. I decided to try my luck by putting one on the hook -- Absolutely nothing.... I was thinking maybe a nice bream, tench, chub, barbel or even a carp would of had away with it but not a single bite.

Strangely enough at another private lake i used to regular at the carp there would go absolutely batsh*t crazy for blackberrys

They'll only eat slugs as a last resort, can't blame them ...

Cat food is pretty good & they love meal worms but they're not particularly nutritious. Sunflower hearts are decent, as are raisins, ...
Leave a bowl of water out as well, sometimes this the most important thing during the summer

As above, bread and milk are simply wrong.

My Jack Russell loves to play with Hedgehogs. Unfortunately, she has a habit of a breaking them if I don't intervene within about 20 seconds. If I'm indoors there is usually just enough time for me to intervene from the first sound of the 'Russell War Cry', so the casualty rate is pretty low.
The spines don't bother her in the slightest. Lost count of the number of times I've had to pull spines out of her tongue, gums and muzzle.
She's also got a taste for Rabbit.
