So it's come around a bit swift but I'm kind of buzzing about this one

I'll be leaving Gosport tomorrow at 0800 and 2 days and 333 miles later I'll be in Newcastle
I will be running the Great North and after a short rest I'll be heading back to Gosport over Sunday and Monday

666 miles and a Half Marathon in aid of Combat Stress

Wish me luck

Still sleeping ??

The 1st day was OK. The second was a bit of a struggle and the 3rd day returning from Newcastle after the Great North was somewhat painful. The return leg from Derby on the 4th day was a climb of 6200 feet over 188 miles and really did me in.
To top it all I failed to restart my Garmin at 50 miles and by the time I realised I was so feckin pissed off I threw the watch in the support van. I did record the GN time prior to that though. It was my slowest Half Marathon.

Not very gutted about cocking the watch up!

That's quite some trip. :bravo:

Those average speeds on the bike are good too.
I was out for a ride on Sunday and averaged 18.3 outward and 16. 2 for the round trip. and I thought I was doing well.   45 miles or so, never mind 180 odd on successive days.

Well done! How much are you hoping to raise?

We are hoping for around £3k. We have £400 on just giving and just over £2k on other fund raising set ups. (work lottery, sponsored footie match, work charity match up, normal sponsorship etc)

We are almost there

I have to say, it was the hardest ride I have ever undertaken. My very good mate riding with me tore his knee up on the last day and I had to ride the last 110 miles alone. Now that was soul destroying but the support team of 3 and the 4 with my mate were excellent and navigated me home brilliantly.
Managed to get on Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio Solent and today we are being interviewed by the local newspaper ......... we is 2nd class famous lol
