Live in a beautiful part of the world and love cycling in the mountains. I also work in the wine industry in South Africa and have a passion for good food and wine. Love to train and stay fit.
Hoping to do a few days of cycling in UK in late August/early September 2017. Will need advice on how to hire a bike to do some touring from Glasgow down to Wales. Chat soon. Trez

South Africa maybe isn't the most bike-friendly place I've ever been. Most cyclists I know over there use mountain bikes to keep out of the way of the lunacy on the roads. You'll find things rather different here. Can I suggest you take good advice on your route from Glasgow to Wales, because the folks here will know which roads are OK, and which are cycling nightmares.

I live in Glasgow, but I don't know of any shop that would hire you a bike to go to Wales.
I might be cost effective to buy one reduced from one of the big shops like Evans or Decathlon, do your tour, then sell it on.
