Hello from Macclesfield

After reading and learning for the past few weeks I thought I would register and introduce myself.
As the title says I live in Macclesfield and last rode a bike about 20 years ago when I was 31 but after knee surgery last week I have been advised to stop running, which I did 12 months ago and take up cycling so here I am.

I will no doubt be asking for advice on what bike to buy, what other stuff I will need and maybe see some of you on the leafy lanes once I get set up.

Hello!!! Hope you're healing well and on the bike soon! Spent many a happy weekend in Macc when I was younger as the first person I was engaged to lived there...never got to cycle there though...too busy!!! I did introduce my wife to the 'Macc Lads' (the band) though and she thinks they're hilarious!
