Hello from Oxford

I'm 36 and got back into cycling a couple of years ago but was just mainly doing very short local rides but want to start doing longer and more regular rides and also maybe some tours. I thought a good cycling from would be useful for hints and tips on routes and equipment etc.

Hi @PhilMcD welcome from neighbouring Abingdon where I help run the 'Freewheeling' sorta club thing.
Ours is a lovely area for cycling though the road surfaces are dreadful. We're blessed with good cycle shops and 'Broken Spoke' workshop in Oxford.

There's lots going on! Give us some idea of the kind of routes you want to do and I'll see what I can dig out. Whilst we don't have any Alps, a few good climbs are readily found!
