Greetings from the country's worst "pro-cycling" city for cyclists!

For what it's worth I've ridden for a fair chunk of my life but have never bothered to join a cycling forum.. now locked on the horns of a purchase dilemma I could do with some advice and Cycle Chat seems to host a good bunch of folks so I'm looking forward to making it my new online-cycle-home if you'll have me

Welcome! I spend time in Oxford each summer and I could never cope with riding there. Quite apart from living my biking life on the “wrong side” of the road here in the USA, they are crazy!

but, the surrounding countryside .. so pretty !
