Hi, I used to be very fit but need to get back there again - and preferably even more so. I used to bike a lot including to and from work and feel cycling could be the key to regaining some of that fitness. Given that I'm a year off 60 I'm not in to running for any distance - especially not even thinking about marathons. I prefer the more gradual increase in stamina and fitness via walking and now cycling. I attend a gym regularly after having a stroke some time ago, but now feel I need to fill in some of the times between sessions and so the old bikes are out of the garage for servicing and my wife has agreed to get on hers again as well.

look forward to using the site.
Bye

Hi and welcome.
Not so much of the "very old man" as I am 2 years older than you and don't feel old at all. I have re-started cycling at about your age after many many years of not doing so. I love it and it is a great way of keeping some fitness. Enjoy it.

Lots of great information on here I have learned so much about bikes. Great forum which is always busy.

Welcome Mr and Mrs Tumchie :welcome:

Hi Tumchie and welcome. There are a fair number of us geriatrics on here (I'm 66 in August) still enjoying our cycling so you are in good company. Any problems or questions just ask.
