Hi All.
My name is John from Farnborough, Hampshire, aged 43
I used to be a regualr cyclist in my teens and early 20`s, member of a local cycling club.Regular mile eater and Time Trialist.
one the usual, got mrried , mortgage etc and the cycling stopped.
Just been diagnosed with Diabetes and need to loose 2 stone, so dug out my old Dawes Galaxy and invested in a Turbo Trainer.Had a few short rides out with the wife and we have re discovered our love for 2 wheels.
Great site by the way.

Hi @galaxy and welcome have you been diagnosed type 2 ? if so my good lady was also this and after some very serious weight loss (both of us) she is now considered no longer a diabetic,so I do hope you do the same the bike will help ! along with a sensible diet. Also you will find that if you ask a question you will get answers.

Going of my wife's experinces whilst cycling we always carried a bottle of coke and some glucose tablets whilst out cycling, these have on more than one occasion saved the day so to speak !
