Have to admit that I'm not much of a cyclist these days.
Joined after stumbling across a Dawes Flair in the Classic and Vintage section.
This exact model was my first full size adult bike as a young teenager in 1976.
I was very pleased with this having previously had a Dawes Kingpin
The 'unisex' Kingpin did not sit well in the mind of a teenage boy, the Flair being a 'man's' bike was a great relief. + by that time I had even gotten over not getting a Raleigh Chopper a few years earlier, realising that from a functional viewpoint the Dawes was a bit more useful than a Chopper.
Still have the Dawes 40 years later - might even be inspired to get it going again. When I look at the design in detail I still see more evidence of quality than being built down to a price.
