Hi, been back riding for a couple of years now, weekend warrior only unfortunately. Recently had my bike pinched and have been offered something in the region of Giant defy composite 3/TCR composite 3 but unsure to go with A. Carbon lower end frame or whether B. should forgo the carbon for a better groupset al a Merida ride alloy 2014 with the 105's or even the charge plug 4 steelie with the ultegra set and maybe upgrade frame in a couple of years with more road under my belt? Any advice would be great fully received oh I also quite like the Scott speedster 20 compact but unsure it's geometry would suit an old timer who needs more hours and a little less speed in the saddle. Any other bike suggestions also welcome
