Help me to identify this film ....

Here's another Film puzzle.

Way back in the day (late 60's early 70's) there was a late night World Cinema programme on that new fangled BBC 2 channel thing. I remember having a huge laugh watching a film which, I think, was Cuban. All about attempting to get a loved one buried and all the sillies that ensued. It was possibly subtitled but not a huge amount of dialogue IIRC.

So - any thoughts anyone?

Hmmph - has some elements of what I remember but don't remember the trucker. Wonder if this 1995 one is a remake/rewrite..........

Need to rewatch to check I guess as it is all so long ago.

If that is the one - it comes highly recommended (from a very much younger me)
