I'm a newbie on here. I am an expat living in West Africa. Great place for buying but not so good for riding! Anyway I saw a guy riding a Rory O'Brien recently and ended up buying it from for about sixty quid. There are no markings on the frame apart from 'dawes' stamped on the rear seat stays. I imagine it might be around 1990 vintage. Can anyone help out with some history?

Bung us a couple of photos - there are one or two Rory fans on here.
But if it's got "dawes" stamped on it  and you reckon it's from around 1990 then I doubt it's going to be one.

^ This; if it has 'Dawes' stamped on it, then it ain't a Rory O'Brien.

Does it have Rory O'Brien transfers ?

It must be said though, that a Dawes bike for £60 is almost certainly a good buy - especially if it has a 531 frame.

Thanks for all your help guys, guess I was getting all excited for nothing. The frame is Dawes though and is very light, so I'm not too unhappy.
