It's at low times like this is a man's life that there is salvation to be had.
Go to the nearest high building and climb to the roof. Once on the roof, look round for the lowest wall/ledge. Now take a deep breath and prepare yourself. Once at peace deep down, run as fast as you can and dive over the edge. Sure, you'll flail your arms round like a falling windmill, but this is the best bit; once your chin impacts with the cold hard surface of the pavement you will be free.
