I am thinking of upgrading from basic computer to one with HRM and CAD but can't decide which to go for. I was looking at the Polar CS200 cad and Cateye V3 both just over £100 but now find I can get the Garmin edge 500 with hrm & cad for £174. Which way would you go?

I use a Bryton Rider 35 with HRM and CAD sensors on my Cannondale and I'm very happy with it. Paid £135 from Merlin a while ago and have never seen it for this price anywhere since, bargain!

Well I have the garmin 500 and love it. I had the basic version and a Christmas present has just added the cadence sensor. Once my polar hrm runs out of battery I'll add the hrm strap as well. Great for recording your rides, but it has a snag in following courses over 40 miles. If that isn't a problem for you it gives a lot of data to manage and compare.
