Hi fellow cyclist types

I got back into cycling last year (after many years off) with a hybrid bike, mostly commuting with the odd 30 - 50 mile long ride here and there. Years previous I did more mountain biking. However riding my hybrid on roads has really given me a strong desire to purchase a road bike which I fully intend to do once I have the money for one! Looking for a bargain on ebay etc however competition for used bikes looks tight so I might be going down the route of a Specialized Allez or Carerra Vanquish when I've got £500 to throw at one!

I'm also really into running and climbing.

Hope to find some friendly people and good advice in the forums here.

You might like to look at the Triban range from Decathlon as well, which are very well regarded.

Owamya and welcome. Might see you around as I cycle quite a lot in and around Shropshire. Specialised Allez is a good bike but if you can stretch to the Allez Sport (an extra 150 ish quid I think) you'll be getting a better bike that you will probably appreciate more as you progress.

Boardman Road sport at 599 quid is worth a look to as you get a lotta bike for your money.
