I've returned to cycling after doing not nearly enough of it for the last 26 years. First I bought myself a hybrid... which promptly sat unused for 3 years. Last September I decided I really had to do something about the belly that was starting to appear and I was fed up getting out of breath going up stairs
Dragged the hybrid out of hibernation and started riding it to work. Progress was rapid and I was bitten by the bug all over again, so much so that I bought a new road bike a couple of months later. Absolutely loving it now, dropped 5kg and feel half my age again
Since then I've ridden further and further and discovered Sportives! My second one last sunday in Langholm was also my longest ride so far at 60 miles, with a 90 miler in the near future to look forward (?) to.
