Hi Neil, and welcome. When I were a lad in Lincoln, the Velo club was prominent, and they're still going strong after all those decades.

When you want to widen your riding, you'll find that one of the many benefits of living in Saxilby is that the Dunham toll bridge over the Trent is free to cyclists.
So satisfying that you may want to cross and recross several times a day. ^_^

Yes it is satisfying when you get something for free when others have to pay!
I'm a motorcyclist as well, so I get double the satisfaction.

Hi Neil and welcome to CC.
Lincs isnt flat, well not as flat as some make it out to be, Me and my missus ride aall over Lincs when we can and get some cracking rides in, it issssssssssssss pretty flat around our area but if we venture further south from Scunny the roads can get a bit demanding, if you ever venture north, give us a shout and we could meet up for a few miles:thumbsup:

If and when my fitness allows me to venture further north, I will certainly give you a shout and enjoy a cuppa and cake together!

Neil, have you been out to Barrons yet, now that is a proper old bike shop. Have a ride out to Newton tonight and you will meet the Wheelers doing thier two up there, starts at 7pm.

Yes that is where I rode to on my 10 mile ride, the shop is very old school but the owner was pleasant with loads of good advice!

Unfortunately in Scotland at the moment with work, but will hopefully get together at some point and have a ride out in the future.

Many thanks for all the replies.
Hopefully see some of you on the road soon.
Neil.
