Hi Brandane thanks for the welcome I'm east Ayrshire myself, not familiar with the Fairlie Moors or Brisbane Glen as haven't cycled it. One of the reasons I want to buy a road bike is to go explore the Ayrshire back roads and beyond

Unlike @Brandane I won't found in Brisbane Glen, Haylie Brae area, it is too hilly
In my earlier years I did these hills on a regular occasion (on a gritting motor, by hand as well)

They're bloody(am I allowed to say 'bloody' ?) steep...go down them unless you are a masochist
