Hi - I see there is another thread 'Hi from Cumbernauld' so I'm glad to see other cyclists from Cumby on the forum.

I mainly ride on the road (commuting and Sat ride) and do a bit of MTBing for fun. Looking forward to going to the Sir Chris Hoy velodrom on Tues to do my Accreditation 1 course and hopefully progressing to full accreditation. This will be the 1st time I've ever been in a velodrome so really looking forward to it. I think my biggest anxiety is ensuring I don't bring anyone down as my commuting has encouraged me to become very fond of my brakes.
My preference is longer distance cycling - essentially so I can get my moneys worth lol. :bicycle:

Wishing you all happy and above all safe cycling.

Whats it called? Your probably sick of that by now. Hiya :welcome:

Hello, and :welcome:

There's a thread down in the track cycling subforum with other people's experiences at the velodrome. I promise you'll enjoy it!

Keep an eye out on the Informal Rides section, too - you'd be most welcome to join in on one of our regular group rides.
