Hi - I see there is another thread 'Hi from Cumbernauld' so I'm glad to see other cyclists from Cumby on the forum.

I mainly ride on the road (commuting and Sat ride) and do a bit of MTBing for fun. Looking forward to going to the Sir Chris Hoy velodrom on Tues to do my Accreditation 1 course and hopefully progressing to full accreditation. This will be the 1st time I've ever been in a velodrome so really looking forward to it. I think my biggest anxiety is ensuring I don't bring anyone down as my commuting has encouraged me to become very fond of my brakes.
My preference is longer distance cycling - essentially so I can get my moneys worth lol.

Where abouts are you in Numb 'n' cauld? I'm in Blackwood near the stadium.

As @Louch says there are a good few runs with the CC guys, including the famous Arran pedal.
